Happy birthday, Robin! Hope it was dreamy. Can't wait to hear about your ancestral tour; the veil has, indeed, been thinning. Much beginning to show itself.
Fun fact: I just learned that October named by the Romans and referring to the number eight, as in octagon and octopus despite being the 10th month, originally occupied that position, as their calendar began in March. January and February were only added later to adjust to the earth's actual turning around the sun and designated as the first two months. So it's "fall back October!" (pun intended) (:
Beautiful Robin and happy belated Continuation Day..."In this world of dancing particles, we are made to live in cycles" ...the cycles of bright aches, clinging, surrendering, dried seeds and tender sprouts...may this cycle bear luscious fruit, dark clouds to shape reflection, and ample surprise and wonder🙏🏻
Thank you, Lyns! It's always great to hear from you, and I appreciate you sharing this post. 🥰 I've got your latest in my weekend tbr line-up. Yay! Such a great time of year. 🖤✨️
Happy Birthday Robin! Fall is my favorite time of year--the brevity does make it feel more special and glowing! I just passed through Mammoth, California where the Aspens are shimmering with beautiful gold leaves at only this time of year. It feels like nature's showing up in all its glory! Oh and I would love to join your ancestral roots and ghosts!
I'm excited to go on the ancestral tour with you! Congratulations on the publication of your poem! And thank you for sharing a beautiful poem of "thirty years" and "thirty more." Have a Happy Birthday!
Anne, oh how your words shimmer like October light ... brief, golden and so deeply felt. Happy 60th birthday, and thanks so much for sharing these luminous reflections. I’m especially moved by your meditation on surrender and cycles, and the Oran Mór. Already looking forward to your next post. 🙏💖✨
